| Hotsynch not synching datebook... I have read all of the hotsynch issues for the TH55, and cannot find anything on hotsynch issues involving successful hotsynchs without synching any products. Here is the synopsis of my problem
I can conduct a hotsynch from my TH55 to the laptop. Running Windows 2000 pro. Both the PDA and the laptop show the connection and all of the actions occuring and completed. But no matter what I do, messing with settings, deleting all files off of the laptop, and all that, data does not get passed to any date book file in the PDA. Not to Agendus, Organizer or the datebook file...
How do I fix this??? |

| i know this sounds stupid but did you change your hotsync (for the datebook) to do nothing on a sync?? furthermore are all the other application db's correctly syncing?? this could be your problem.

| Did everything I could think of I made sure that all applications were set to synch. I also tried setting all the applications to have PC overwrite PDA. I also checked both settings on the PDA hotsynch and the PC hotsynch to ensure both were the same. I also tried setting Agendus to not synch to see if agendus was blocking somehow. Finally, I set Organizer settings to not synch to see if the Datebk database would at least synch. No luck, no joy no synch... |

| Try this Go to this link and try out the file "USBTEST" http://www.envicon.de/syncwizard/usbtest.zip
This is a shot in the dark but it is how I was able to get pinstall to work correctly....
- Start the HotSync application
- Start USB-Test.exe
- Perform HotSync
I had to do this twice to get it to work.
I am almost sure that this is not the problem, but it is worth a shot right?
Anyone else have this problem?
regards,

| Maybe it helps...
Its Intellisync that kills the datebook sync.
1.De-Install the (Pumatech) Intellisync - even delete all the registry entries in the Reg! (regedit)
2.De-Install Hotsync.
4.Reboot.
Than only install the Sony-Hotsync! NOT the intellisync!!
Install the Organizer/Datebook and all work fine. (I think)
I have the same Prob. a long time ago, and this works for me - hope It fix your Problem too. let us know if its work Quote: | Originally Posted by eoctanker I have read all of the hotsynch issues for the TH55, and cannot find anything on hotsynch issues involving successful hotsynchs without synching any products. | regedit How do I do regedit? deleting things from the registry is not my thing, can you explain?
Thanks.
I believe the problem occured prior to intellisync. If uninstalling does not pull from the registry, then that has been a waste of time. (when I uninstalled everything, and reinstalled, my datebook information was still present.)... |

#7 | | Guest | Is there any way to still use Intellisync and have it work successfully? I use it to share my Yahoo calendar with people and it would be really annoying to not have that functionality. Or is there another product that I can use instead? | |
