#1 | | Guest | m505 won't hold a charge very long My friend has my old m505. I never had any problems with it when I had it and she's only had it maybe 4-5 months. Now it won't hold a charge for very long (approx. 3-5hrs.) and then will lose all info. Any ideas? Thanks. | |

| Just have it charging then press the reset button (Soft Reset). This will reset the charging limits and ensure max charging. Leave it charging for 4 hours just to be sure. Hopefully the battery will improve. Li-Ion batteries usually last only 2-3 years.

| I should have asked this first: "approx. 3-5hrs." of usage or just sitting around?

| Do you have this problem if you Hard Reset, but don't Hotsync right afterwards? If so, it is a hardware problem. Give Chris Short at ips@chartermi.net a call. He charges very reasonable rates, and is very good.

| I once had a program that refused to shut down until my batteries ran dry. Very annoying. After Hard Reset it was gone, and I made sure it did not install again.
