| Warring Nations for Palm OS Inscenic Studios would like to announce the release of Warring Nations for Palm OS.
Warring Nations is a turn-based strategy game. The first world pack produced for the game is Medieval Heroes, where the action is set in medieval times. These are times of noble lords, great battles and glorious victories.
The game territory is divided into provinces. In the beginning of the game, several lords begin to compete for lands, starting with only one province with a castle. During the game, lords collect taxes, recruit forces, conquer new lands, and build new castles. As one of medieval lords, you are given a chance to unite all territories under your own control. Game features:- Downloadable maps. Each world has several maps built into it, and more maps can be downloaded and installed separately;
- Real-time battles;
- Players can build fortresses of various types on their lands. Additional fortress blueprints can be downloaded and installed separately;
- Diplomacy. Player can declare war, propose peace and alliance, present gifts or demand tributes. Diplomacy relations define actions players can perform and affect market prices on resources;
- Trading. Player can sell resources he/she does not need, and buy the required ones. Prices are not fixed, but are dictated by the market demand and diplomacy relations;
- Hotseat mode. Two players on the same device option.
Palm OS version features:- 16-bit color high resolution graphics;
- Full screen 320x480 support;
- High performance native ARM version;
- Resources and expansion packs can reside on a storage card.
For additional information about the game please go to www.warringnations.com |

| Hi Inscenic,
I have been paying with the demo of Warring Nations and am ready to purchase the full version. However, I noticed in the forum on the Warring Nations homepage that a discount will be provided to existing Medieval Heroes owners:
> Yes, we will surely provide a discount for registered users of the original game. I
> believe Warring Nations will cost under $10 for all MH customers. The discount will
> become effective once we have the Palm OS version out.
Can you please let us know how to get this discount for the new program?
Thank you |

| Is Warring Nations compatible with the UX series? Can I store and run it on my memory stick pro?

| Thanks for the question.
The game should work on UX50, in both portrait and landscape modes, and 5 megabytes of resource files can be moved to and read from external storage (Memory Stick). However, the game will still require 6 Mb of free internal RAM. This requirement will be removed in the upcoming update - UX50 has 16 Mb of dynamic heap memory, which is more than enough.
I'd suggest you to see if the demo version is compatible with your device. If you encounter any problems, please let me know, so I could make corresponding corrections. The update which relaxes the memory requirement will be available this weekend. |

| Thanks Nasca for the response. I'll wait for the new version then try it.

| I think the update is ready. You guessed right, the previous version didn't work well on UX50 - I found it out after trying Sony Clie Simulator in landscape mode. Now that I've spent some time working on the game, now it seems to work fine with the Simulator, but I'd like to know if it works fine on a real UX50 before updating all downloads. Currently, only the demo download was replaced with this new version. If possible, please try it and see if it works. Use the WAD Installer utility (supplied within the download archive) to move resource files to Memory Stick.
Thanks for drawing my attention to UX50.

Well, I installed the new demo this morning on my UX. Not so good...in fact the previous version worked much better. The new version loads the Splash screen in Portrait mode (the old version loaded in Landscape and tiled the graphic). When the new version moves past the splash screen the image scrambles (best way I could think of to describe it)...and is unusable at this point...you can't make out any of the menu items.

| Problem solved, now the game should load resources off the card without any problems. Initially, I thought it was a Memory Stick or UX issue, but it turned out to be a software bug. Zire 72 handhelds had this problem with the game, too. Now everything seems fine. The game still uses portrait orientation for Main Menu though, which can be somewhat inconvenient for Zodiac and UX users.
Thanks for your help.

| We are now providing 35% discount for Medieval Heroes buyers. Please e-mail your hotsync name and activation code for Medieval Heroes to support@inscenic.com and we will reply with a discount code.
We apologize for the delay, which was caused mostly by technical problems. |

| Hi, does this mean, it is fully compatible with the UX series now, not just the demo, but the actual registered game?

| I believe the game is now compatible with Clie UX series, but can't be 100% sure, since I haven't tested the latest build on UX (have no access to such device). You should probably try the demo first, and if it works, then the full version will also work (given the version and build numbers are the same for both demo and complete variants). |

Have you decided if you are going to buy Warring Nations for your UX? If not, may I ask why?

I haven't bought it...No real reason other then no time to commit to learning a new game right now. The game looks great on the UX screen.
