| ? for those who have looked inside Spilled some coffe on my 415. It didn't seem to be affected, but then about 5 minutes later it locked up while in SheetToGo. Did a soft reset and the thing just started vibrating with the screen still black. I took the bottom back cover off, and there is a little cylinder on the left that is spinning; is this the vibrating alarm? There was no sign of moisture there though. Is there a way to further "dismantle" the Clie? I see where you can take the jog dial apart, but is there a way to get to the rest of it? At this point, I'm just going to let it sit for a couple of days, recharge it, and see what happens. But any advice would be greatly appreciated.
The silver lining: my birthday is Monday, and from the look on my wife's face, I'm getting a new Clie anyway! But I'd like to pass the 415 on to one of the kids if I can get it working. TIA for any help

| I guess coffee doesn't give Clies a charge like it does the rest of us. I wish I could help but I will cheer you on to hang in there until Monday. Good luck!

| That cylinder is in fact the vibrating mechanism for the alarm...but I ve no experience taking it apart - and never to have to....hold in there till Monday. You have a chance as long as you didnt have alot of cream/sugar in your coffee.

EASY FIX!!!
No joke. This happen to a laptop a buddy of my owned. He spilled coffee on it an it stopped working, so he gave it to me. So, I get home, took it apart and then got the hair dryer out. Turned to to HOT, and did this at about 12 " from the unit for 5 minutes with a sweeping pattern. After 5 minutes re-assembled then it worked. And it work for the next 2 years. I would retry this. Coming from an electronics background, there will be small amounts of moisture in the unit still, so I would try that. Good luck, and a Have great weekend.
