| BP500 Battery External Charger??? I believe this topic has come up in the past, but there was no definitive answer...
I have 4 Sony BP500 batteries for my NZ90. Currently the only means I have to charge them is one by one IN THE NZ, on the cradle. It would be great if there was a way, even if I had to make up something with alligator clips, if I could carge the BP's outside of the the NZ.
Does anyone have any idea how to do this, OR, what the input values to the battery might be?
For instance: I have a solar battery maintanance panel that came with my 2003 VW Jetta. The output from the panel is:
Max Power: 3.2 W
Voltage @ Max Power: 18.8 V
Current @ Max Power: 170 mA
Any pointers would be appreciated!
Tony

| actually you should be able to use any automatic charger (those which automatically recoignize the batteries you plug in). Just go to your favorite electronics dealer and ask for a charger, telling them the specs of the BP500.
However, I'm also interested in a special charger for the BP500, just like the one of my good ol' Ixus vČ...

| i dont think there is one, and a new one wont be made since there will be no more nz, because of clie's manufacturing issue in the NA's |

| Yes, I agree, but mainly I was interested to know if anyone knew of any third-party solutions or what the inputs voltage should be to the batteries so that I could charge them seperately from the NZ itself.
I guess I can just take my oldest battery and run some experiments...
