I am a software developer of some 6 years now, but have never strayed too far from Microsoft Technologies, I have some experience of developing software for the Windows CE platform, but have always used Palm OS devices for my own personal use as I find applications generally more stable and easier to use than there Pocket PC equivalents!
Having recently upgraded to an NR70V I quite fancy having a bash at writting some simple applications for the Palm OS, but as this is primarily only going to be for my personal learning am not prepared to pay the $400 for the Code Warrior development studio.
Could anybody recommend a half decent freeware alternative if indeed there are any out there?
PRC-Tools and Cygwin are free. If you don't mind parting with a little cash, there are some IDEs that wrap these tools (gdb can be a bear if you are used to VC++).
