I have been toying with getting a new PDA - zire 72 or th55 really , anyway tried my mates zire 72 and i must say it is a very good device , fast , camera ok, bluetooth integration faultless.
BUT my god were palm smoking crack when they decided to paint it with rubber paint that peels off within 3 weeks, yes my friends has started to peel around the stylus slot and he is thinking about returning it and getting a TH55 as well now.
I rreally hope that they fix this on the next run!
I think this is a batch problem. I've had mine since day after release without any paint issues, yet my boss got one just over a week ago and I noticed some peeling on his. I'd return it for a new model.
What I think is funny is that when the Zire 72 came out, the new paint job was highly touted to have come from a major paint manufacturer and was supposed to be the "next big thing" in paintjobs on tech items!
How funny it would be so funky and have the problems peeling. Did they not give it a trial run on test models beforehand?
