It's very cool.

| Thanks to this board, I now have downloaded and am using Jot and JackFlash/JackSprat (beta versions for my T665). Thanks for the heads up. This website has really help me take advantage of my PDA. I have so much space on it now. You all rock!
One more question, does anyone know of an application launcher that I can replace my current launcher on my ROM. I am looking for something that can stand alone and not just piggy back on the current Palm OS Application Launcher.
Thanks for any input from anyone!

You don't want to get rid of your default launcher. That is the first no-no in messing around with JackSprat (read Tanker Bob's primer on JackSprat/JackFlash). Believe me, been there and done that. Without the default launcher, it will be a paint to restore your system back after a hard reset. Imagine that you don't have any icons to tap to after the hard reset. Pressing App (Home) button will only launch Prefs. For a mere saving of 100K FlashROM is not worth the trouble. I just add MegaLauncher3.2.2 with default skin. It only takes 383K of RAM, pretty small footprint for a great launcher.

| I tried ZLauncher and did not like it. What do you all think about Launcher X or SilverScreen? I really want a nice, easy, and clear launcher application.
By the way, DateBK5 really rocks with the new beta version that supports high resolution icons.
I could not agree more with you about JackFlash and JackSprat. It really has given me a lot of extra space on my PDA.
Thanks to you all for helping me find JOT. It rocks, too. I really appreciate this thread.

It is highly configurable, so can be as "nice, easy, and clear" as you would like it to be. You might want to give it another shot.

Hey, LSAlford.
I ran into the same problem on my old PEG-N710C until I did some major digging and found a version of BigClock (version 2.83c!!!) that had been fixed to work on Sony HiRes devices
Here is the link if you are interested: http://www.geocities.com/rnlnero/do...igclock283c.zip
I now use that exclusively on my TG50 and absolutely would DIE if I didn't have this program. |
