I use Mapopolis at www.mapopolis.com and think it works fine. Most of the time it is even right. I can certainly find an address when I need to and it is easy to use on a T3. You can download a sample for most major cities.

I used to use Mapopolis a lot, but I got tired of having to repurchase maps every year if I wanted the updated versions. Plus, their newest version will only work with the newer maps, and I don't feel like giving them any more of my money. The maps are also divided into counties for the most part, which just adds to my headache when trying to figure out which maps I need to install. I was hoping to see a standalone version of TomTom actually running before I made the leap. I'm sticking with Mapopolis right now because I haven't found any other options, but, all update and monetary gripes aside, it works as advertised and will keep me from getting too lost for now.
