Yes, a lot of imaginary people can do it, but you're not one of them.

| Ok, for the 5th time IN THIS THREAD, you can't. Plain and simple. The hardware doesn't support the new OS. You're stuck with 4.1 PERIOD. I just saw the sj33 in CC today. Looks somewhat thick, but I like it overall. The buttons are a little small, but it seems like a good pda. |

| OS 5 requires a ARM based processor to run, so upgrading would essentially be running code designed for a completely different processor. You might be able to change to OS 5 if you completely replaced the CPU (which would mean replacing the board)

| Why are you worried about upgrading a new SJ33 to OS5? If OS 4.1 does what you want why worry about it? If you want OS5 then you need to buy a device designed to run it.

| All of the Palm OS's before OS 5 support the Motorola Dragonball processors. OS 5 only supports ARM processors. This means that any PDA with a Dragon ball processor can not run OS 5.
All of the upgrades to OS 4 (4.2 and 4.3) were still upgrades on a Dragonball, just as any upgrade to OS 5 will still only support ARM.
It is a hardware issue so there is not much anyone can do about it. |

| If you really want OS5 in a SJ33 sized device all I can say is wait. Knowing Sony's constant tinkering with their devices we can expect to possibly see an OS5 SJ33 like model before the end of the year, along with an updated NX series that has Bluetooth and other tweaks and many other devices.

Means those are the only devices currently available that are capable of running OS5, that I am aware of. |

I don't think anyone here has been able to do it. Perhaps you should ask someone that you know that has done it. |

| Look, think of PALMOS 5 as a completely different os, that needs new, well everything. |
