Why do it say on the specs that I need a new sd card for mp3's?
What is hot syncing?
What's a hard and soft reset?
Is all of my data store on a drive or is it stored in the temporary ram?

The device is limited to what type of files can be installed in the internal memory of the device. MP3 files have to be stored on a SD card.

What is hot syncing?
The process of copying data from the handheld to the computer and vice-versa. In other words, the synchronization of data between the computer and the handheld.

Not sure what technically occurs, but the soft reset is the first type of device reset you would attempt if the device hangs. Similar to restarting your computer but much, much, much quicker. A hard reset has the potential to lose data. This is a last resort if you have trouble with the device. To perform a soft reset, hit the reset pin on the back on the device. To perform a hard reset, hold the power button down and hit the reset pin on the back of the device.

All data is stored on the computer when the handheld is synchronized with the computer.
If you are truly interested in getting mp3's on to ur palm and don't want to buy an SD card yet, you can use the following software to emulate the SD card using your RAM:
Well, I went to best nuy to buy one and the bastards made us wait while they searched. They couldn't find one and they aren't getting anymore in. We were there for an hour and they wouldn't give us the Circuit city discount. We then went to Compusa nobody would wait on us we waited for 30 minutes. Danm, I might as well just order from the internet.
