Is Your T3 Serial Number Gone Too?

I purchased my T3 Oct. 1 and my Serial Number on the back is completley rubbed off, has been for a couple weeks. Is this so across the board? Or am I alone? Please vote! and please post stating when your purchased your palm so we can calculate the quickest serial number dissappearence.
Does anyone think this will pose a problem? Has anyone asked Palm about it?

i've had mine about a month, and it's almost completely worn off.

i'm not worried about it, though, since you can get the s/n via the software.

I read about this in other forums. So the first thing I did when I got the T3 was to put a small piece of tranparent tape on the SN. It's about a month now and I still have the SN....

Mine was gone about a week after I bought it, & I keep it in a case all the time with a soft liner. I had to look on the box to read the serial number to put in my records.

Yes - many owners had this problem; the printing is very poor quality. I have on the first day put a ceelophane over it when read about this in some forums. BTW mine unit is made in CHINA - what about your units - where is it made??

I plan on taking a digital pic of the serial number as soon as I pick up my T3.

Do you know that you can read your serial number directly in the info menu ?

Go to the Palm Launcher, choose "Info" in the menu, and then version.
The ID flash is the same number as the serial number in the back of the T3

No Freakin Duh! This thread is about the fact that the number rubs off due to poor printing quality. Its not cause we cant figure out the number.

I say this might pose an issue if your palm Freezes up (you can't use it to check for your serial number and you didn't write it down cause your a new palm user and you didn't think it important) and you call support and they want your serial number and you can't give it to them.

Why have a label with vital info that just rubs off.

Thats a nice tip. To bad its worthless to me and most posters cause this is a thread for those whos numbers already rubbed off. Why don't you keep worthless info to yourself.
