Exclamation Problems with Acrobat Reader on T3

I'm surprised I haven't seen anything about this posted. I am beta testing DateBk5 and had problems with crashes when alarms fired. It turns out, amazingly enough, the problem was Acrobat Reader. I had installed the version that came on the CD with my T3. I hadn't installed any .pdf's but the conduit was configured. Removing the reader from the T3 wasn't enough, I had to hard reset, reinstall everything but Acrobat and I haven't had a crash since. Others in the DateBk5 beta test forum reported the same behavior. A friend with a T1 commented that he had similar problems with it months ago, and uninstalled it and things are fine now.

Has anyone else had problems with Acrobat Reader? For all of you having crashes or alarm problems do you have acrobat reader installed?

To test if it's acrobat reader, you must do a hard reset and reinstall everything but acrobat, you can't just delete it from your device.

BTW I'm currently using DateBk5 5.1a S9 and am happy with it. The T3 support isn't perfect yet, but CESD is providing fantastic support and it's improving almost every day.

Hmm, interesting, I hadn't noticed any issues. The only issue I had was with the first two versions of the T3 Optimizer.

I gave up on Acrobat Reader for Palm. I now use Repligo. It does Adobe files better that Acrobat, and handles any other file format as well. http://www.cerience.com/products/palm/index.htm

It's not free, but you DO get what you pay for.
