| Will Palm offer OS6 for the T3? I know no one knows this and its obviously speculation but what do you think? The T3 sure seems like it will have the hardware requirements for OS6.
The only question is will palm offer it to T3 owners for free (or a small update free) or will they capitalize on it and make T3 owners buy a new PalmOne pda if they want OS6? |

| If palmOne knows whats good for them...they'll offer the upgrade IF it's compatible with the T|T3.

| I sure hope Palm offers an OS upgrade for their top model PDA. It has the RAM and cpu to handle it.

| Hey guys, Palm has been very good about that in the past. I see no reason why they would not now. Ya I think it will cost a little but hey "a workman is worthy of his pay" More than I can say from my exp. with Sony! |

| Sony doesn't do anything with with upgrades except release new models. I doubt Palm will release an upgrade simply because it will be such a long time from now. Besides, you guys will all the want the Tungsten T5 or whatever it will be with OS6.

| I doubt that they will offer an upgrade becasue i have a feeling the hardware changes will be very significant and thus the TT3 wont even handle it. If they do offer it I would even pay 30 or so for it...

| I think the upgrade will be offered - assuming that the hardware can support it.

Well, palm did offer OS upgrades but that was when palmone and palmsource where just palm, and not completely independent. I think that palmone offering the Java upgrade for some tungstens is a good sign, though...

| I read another user comment that the T3 was originally designed to be a OS6 device, but due to internet leaks, released it sooner than expected (a good explination for why it came out so soon after T2). As such, I believe that it will be upgradable to OS6 |

If that is true then it could account for a number of things like SD issue, varying screen brightness between devices (although it seems that may be caused by two different screen suppliers PalmOne uses). |

| One can just hope.
IF there's a market for an upgrade and IF it's more likely, that T3 users won't buy a T4,5,6,..., but rather go to another platform, then it's probable, that there's an upgrade. The tech-possibilities are there.
Anyway, IF there's an upgrade, you can be dead sure, that it'll cost something. PalmOne wants to sell devices. PalmOne and PalmOS aren't the same firm anymore. A softwareupgrade is only working for PalmOne if it brings them money, they won't get by selling new devices.
It's a simple a that. They are greedy! It's a matter of fact. If they weren't so greedy, they would have put an 1100 mAh accu in the T3 instead of a puny 900 mAh.

| I thought they put the puny 900mAh so they will not surpass UX-50 price |

| You should add a third option to the poll so I can cast my vote - "Doesn't Matter to me".
If they offer an upgrade that's cool. But I love the T3 just the way it is. |

| If they offer an OS 6 upgrade for any of their current units, it would be for the T|C and the T3. These machines were practically designed for the new OS, given the ridiculous speed and the expanse of memory available. |
