I've been meddling with the skinmaker and it works great. Thank you very much for taking the trouble.
I'll be sharing the skins I make with you guys soon, but first I have a question:

Whenever I compile a skin, I get error messages saying:

skin.rcp:229: warning : ID conflicts with reserved ID range (0-9999 only)
skin.rcp:244: warning : ID conflicts with reserved ID range (0-9999 only)
skin.rcp:260: warning : ID conflicts with reserved ID range (0-9999 only)
skin.rcp:275: warning : ID conflicts with reserved ID range (0-9999 only)

So far I have ignored those errors because the skin seems to work OK, but I'm wondering if they are normal.

Once again, thanks for that marvelous work.

I get the same error, and I also can't install the file. Hot Sync deletes it as an invalid file....

The warnings dont really mean anything, for the purposes of making a skin, and you will always get the same ones. thats pilrc complaining. i suppose i could recompile pilrc without the warning, i already removed a transparency warning that stoped it from running after some information that Karim told me about a month ago that took me like 4 hours to remember

As to why hotsync would delete the file, i have no idea, i have not had that problem. what names did you use? you got a NX right?

I've got an NX. I named the files test; stuart; saskin.
None would install.

I am going to update the skinmaker today to fix how it handles names in "Preferences". This will change the length of the name you can use but names will show up in preferences as:

Name
Name (small)

(also, do any mods visit this forum? my attachment from a couple days ago is still not approved)
