that will happen for a while, then disappear. it took just 2 days for me.

( you better not use oil or anything. just move it more often. )

Smile

It's either the parts wearing in, some dust, or some dust causing the parts to wear in.

I have noticed that mine is a tiny bit looser.
I found out by accident that one can do the "James T. Kirk Communicator Flip" to close the cover, catching it at the last second with one's fingers before it slams.

Although one can also do the "One Finger Cover Close" by simply pushing on the top edge of the flip cover while it's open.

No squeak here, but I suppose it's nothing to worry about and will probably go away with use....

Nothing worth smearing it with any oily stuff anyway

I don't think mine squeaked, but the cover was only on long enough for me to learn how to take it off.
Mine's been 'commando' ever since...

I remember mine squeaking a bit when I would take off the cover and put it back on. I think bezman may be right that it takes a breaking-in period and then it goes away. I don't use the cover anymore, though.

LOL! I do that with my SJ33 all the time! Sometimes I can open it like that.
