Can't turn on my NX80v

Well I finally got my WiFi card to get recognized to my WiFi Router at home.
As I was trying this and that my NX80v went black.
Thought all I needed to do as either soft reset, hard reset, or recharge the battery.
Nothing seems to work.
The Power led does not light even when I place the Clie in its cradle.
I have pushed the power button down repeatedly and still nothing.
Can anyone enlighten me to what I may be doing wrong or what I should be trying???
The NX just turned off with no notice.
Thanks

I dont think so since I am sitting the power button downward.
Isn't the hold button and the power button the same one?

That is true. What happens if you press an application button? Will that turn unit on?

No it is as dead as if the battery needed to charge up.
I have the NX in the cradle but the power LED doesn't come on.
It had a good chraged battery minutes before it just shut down.
I cant seem to be able to figure it out.

You push up not down to enage/disenage the hold function.
If its on hold, you can soft reset the clie, and it will power on briefly before and message prints to screen saying hold or supsend.

No when I soft reset it does nothing.
Anyway shouldn't the power led come on when it is in the cradle?
Thanks

My NX80v did the same thing today. I went to turn it on and nothing, no response. I put it in the charger and the charge light does not come on. I also plugged it into the usb cable and still no charge light.

I'm wondering if the little round battery is the problem, I don't have the small screwdriver to pull the back off, I have to go find one tomorrow.

sigh

Thumbs down Strange!

Mine seams discharged too today! When it's not on the craddle, I can't
turn it on. When it's on the craddle ON, the battery information pannel
tells me alternatively that it is charging/discharging, when the power is
OFF, the power led is orange-blinking!

And I tried many thing that hard-resetted the Clié 3 times!!!

I can't use it anymore.

SONY: Expiration date!! No more Clié for real!!! With no support anymore
what a pleasure!!

Well Best Buy informed me that my unit was beyond repair so I no longer have a NX80v.
They no longer sell or service them.
They offered me a MUCH lesser unit so I opted to take the money and run.
I was lucky they also accepted all my accessories that I purchased for the Clie at the cost I originally paid (with receipt) or whatever the last selling price was.
I got over 1000.00 back.
Not bad glad I had the extended warranty!!!!
Finally a warranty aid off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I still don't see how mine could die just sitting on the desk. There is nothing rattling inside it and it did not drop or hit anything. I guess i'll find a little screwdriver tomorrow and dig into it.
Like I said, I don't even get a light when I put it in the charger. I unplugged the battery and still no lights. I can see a round battery in the back and I'm wondering if that failed and is causing the problem.

But my problem, as I said in another post a minute ago , is that I bought it through Amazon.com from Canada (hurray for the web) to be shipped to a
friend in USA that get it through the border for me because this model is nor
sell neither supported here in Canada!

Maybe this friend can take it back to the USA and try to get it repaired...

Now ebay is on the black list, and buying from USA too (since I'm in Canada)!!

Hey, Mine was in my hand and on battery was 100% I tapped to go to my Datebook and black it went.
Did not drop, in fact the store rep said that he could not believe the pristine condition of my PDA.
The screen was virgin to a stylus, always had a screen protector on it form day one...
This thing was in a case ever minute less when it was in the cradle.
Trust me it just decided to retire itself to the PDA heaven in the pile!!!
Along with all my personal business etc. information.
I was very happy with the PDA and wish I still had it.
Since I have tried a T3, and a x30.
The x30 is interesting but I think only because I am so upset that the NX80v died so I think some of my x30 enjoyment is actually rebellion against the think failing...
Oh well Sony no longer is selling so maybe it is a good thing.
