Difficulty with password requied web sites in WebFront
Hi,
I am new to this forum. I did leave a message as an "unregistered" last week. I am having trouble with password protected web sites such as webmail and some subscription sites. I put in my username and then the pw box says something like "unassigned"- I then tap on it and a message box asking for my password comes up. I put in my password and the box changes to "assigned". When I then click on the Login or Go icon I get a login failure message.
Is this inate in the browser or is there a setting that I'm missing?
Thanks
Hmm. Some secure sites don't like the fact you're using a non-mainstream browser (NetFront) and won't let you in. In this case you will have to go into Advanced preferences in NF and change the user agent to fool the website into thinking you are a Windows XP machine.

He has a TH55, so it most likely is NF v3.1.

I had the same problem. It was driving me nuts. I was no longer able to enter passwords whereas before it had been fine. Finally, I hot synced to my cpu. Then when I knew all my data was saved I did a hard restart and reset the unit. I then was able to rebuild the unit with a hot sync. After I reset all of the browser requirements it was fine. Otherwise I couldn't log onto my email etc. That was after I had been doing it w/o a problem for a while.
The Net software seems very finicky. It is unstable. For faster browsing make sure you turn off the powersavemode option. That really slows things down by 80%.
I know it seems like a drastic thing to do but it worked for me by doing the hard reset.
I can't seem to change the user setting. I went to advanced and pulled the change user setting box. I checked it and I got 4 or 5 lines of choices starting with mozilla, the sony palm and last line was net front. there were no boxes to check to change, just lines of text. Should I delete this text and type something else in? If so what? Thanks in advance.
