How about for Mac OSX 10.3.7?

This is exactly the problem I'm having since updating to OSX 10.3.7 -- the "This Mac" info shows it's seeing the USB port connected to Sony Mass Storage, but it won't mount on the desktop and the Clie (SJ30) is frozen while saying it's connected -- won't respond to anything until it's unplugged, at which point it shows all the screen taps executing one after another.

The MissingSync support people don't know what's wrong. Summarized elsewhere, I've
-- cold-reset the Clie; reinstalled MissingSync on Clie and OSX; new MemoryStick; new cable. Nothing gets it to show up on the desktop.

Sounds exactly like a driver is missing as described for Windows earlier. Did Apple leave something out? Guess I"ll go reinstall OSX.

The Sony Clies do NOT use standard USB Mass Storage driver protocols - They did a Microsoft and modified it *ever so slightly* that you need to use their propriatory driver to use it.

On Linuxex don't give a toss because the kernel has a few lines of code to workaround the problem (Which, I might add, has had to be updated with every new Clie...).

I'm not sure of MacOS has access to these drivers in some way 'tho. If not, then you're pretty much SOL unless the guys that code the HotSync gear for Macs also did some Sony Mass Storage drivers too.

One possible avenue might be to get SoftTick's CardImport 2.0 - This is basically the same thing as MS/DataImport, only better, and it uses standard USB Mass Storage protocols (Something which some guy here kept telling me was impossible while telling me I was an idiot for saying it was. I like to rub that in his face at every opportunity now ).

Only problem is it's designed for Palm's Palms (They don't have anything like Data/MSImport), so I don't know how good it's Clie compatibility. CardImport 1.0 on a Clie was a recipe for a Fatal Error, but CardImport 2.0 claims support for a UX50 so it ought to work on a lot of Clies, if not all!

I give up. No one reads posts anymore so why should we try? I think we should take down the CDs forever and make people pay Sony all over again for them.......

The MS SCSI Driver included in almost every model-specific archive is the Mass Storage Driver you're looking for...

So, once again: www.sonyclie.org
