I have a TJ37 and thought i might get a Zire 72, anyways pc world in my neck of the woods offer a 14day return policy and i thought i wouldd try it out. Went along and 10 minutes later had it syncd and ready to go. Aesthetics - 3/10 TJ37 - 8/10 Looks awful, like a product for a four year old - my first PDA! TJ37 looks awesome. Buttons - 8/10 TJ37 - 6/10 better than my TJ37 for games etc, although camera not as easy to hold - TJ37 hard to beat in that area. Battery - 7/10 TJ37 - 6/10 3hrs 52mins on batterytime - compaird to 3hr 15 on TJ37 - better but still too low for modern handheld. Camera- 4/10 TJ37 - 8/10 Awful - big grainy pictures with weird colours , i take a lot of pics of documents and the TJ37 is better at that. The results on the Z72 all look like low light pictures? i thought the ones taken outside would be ok but they are not. Also no lense protection???? Bluetooth - yes a plus over the TJ37 Wifi - no , i use it at home so i would like this. PIMS 9/10 TJ37 - 8/10 better than TJ37 - like the Clie launcher though. Processor - 9/10 TJ37 8/10 Fast , faster than 200mhz TJ37 , dont really notice it though - didnt try speedy - doh! Screen 8/10 TJ37 - 7/10 Bright as brighty mcbright! points off though for minimum brightness being to bright to read ebook in bed - wife complained! Music - 6/10 TJ37 - 9/10 Ok great speaker - louder than TJ37 but mp3s on Z72 do not sound as good as TJ37, now it may be down to realplayer as TJ37 ships with aeroplayer but sound had very little base and i heard some pops and clicks on mp3s that i know dont have them in it. I tested with the same sony headphones. I returned it yesterday, overall i think anyone who likes the look of it will be happy enough with its performance as long as they dont expect good photos. Z72 -7/10 TJ37 - 7.5/10 Personally i cant get past the fisherprice looks, but a descent enough pda for the price, we are getting spoilt are we not ! __________________ doomlordis Last edited by doomlordis : 04-30-2004 at 07:31 AM.

I guess because of the colourful case, higher res camera and BT, the Zire 72 is probably aimed more at a younger audience. For me, the primary reason I got a TJ37 was because of WiFi, which is why I wouldn't even consider the Zire 72. The chance of me using the camera for more than a handful of shots is fairly small and BT uses too much battery power, from what I hear.
