Question So how slow/fast is it going to be for me.

According to FileZ - I have 2212 Datebook Entries, 450 Address Book entries, about 1 meg of Mapopolis maps, about 1 meg of Docs to go. I don't use the To-Do List, I have over 100 Memo records. I currently have a T-615 - I'm getting mixed signals, is the TH going to be noticably slower or noticably faster than my 615??

I don't think you're going to have any problems.... Don't worry.

Thumbs up

Having just upgraded from a T615 to the TH55, I can report that you should be very pleased. The two aren't even in the same class. There are some good threads around here that discuss this subject in depth, but the general consensus seems to be that if you have been playing around with a T|T3, you might well be disappointed. Coming from a 615, you won't even know what people are griping about.

I should know... I griped about the speed of my 615 for a long time. I've had no problem with my previously "slow" apps--Datebk5, DocsToGo, SprNames, and Wordsmith to name few. It's also wonderful not to feel like I have to nurse the battery constantly. The biggest difference of all though is the blazing speed with which it can read/write the memory stick. I still can't quite get over that.

Unhappy

One thing I really miss about my 615 though is the magnesium shell. The plastic on the TH55 seems cheap to me in comparison. At least Sony put metal around the screen, so it hopefully won't shatter the first time I drop it

I was about to change my avatar the other day when I suddenly waxed nostalgic. Since I miss the sexy good looks of my 615, I figured I'd hold off on the change so I can still see it here

(I don't think the red was ever as bright on the screen as in this picture though)
