| Mobile Phone to Clie Questions? - Are there any mobile phones that have the capapbility to literaly "synchronize" with a PalmOS device. (I have a T-Mobile plan)
- Are there any mobile phones that have the capability to literaly "synchronize" pim data with a WindowsXP IR enabled computer. (TrueSync with data cable is $70, too much$)
- What kind of speeds can be expected with an IR connection to a T-Mobile GPS connection. The answer to this question can be general or specific to kb/second.
- Are there any forums or websites that focus on PalmOS devices and Mobile Phones.
Thanks to any that might reply.

| Contact Wulvy (username) here on Cliesource.com.
He offered me endless assistance on my questions of using email on my SJ-20 and syncing through a cellphone. He's the man, send him a message.

| I'm here ...
(1) I use the Sony Ericsson T68i and it has the ability to synchronize your phone book and calendar ... Appontments and Tasks ... to your Palm OS device either by IR or Bluetooth (if you have a Bluetooth Palm like TT)
(2) T68i ... can't comment on any others. Probably the top end Nokia though.
(3) Wish I could answer but I'm based in India at the moment and we don't have GPRS ... sucks?!!!
(4) ClieSource ... is by far the best but you could try PDABuzz or Palminfocenter.
Good luck.

| I stopped at a Verison store in the Mall in Midland, Michigan last Sunday and they didn't have any cellphone capable of infrared communications with my Clie for checking my email, etc. The woman seemed dumbfounded and confused that I'd even suggest such an idea.
Radio Shack in the same mall gave me the same glazed over expression when I mentioned it as well.
Heh.. Cliesource must be cutting edge. I feel truely nerdy now.

| Thought I'd head to Nokia's website and check out their new fangled fancy high end phone....
I'd love to cut and paste the info but the java format its in won't allow a right click for a copy option... so.. Click here to see Noika stats on Nokia 6100 phone.
Phone is Java compatiable.
GPRS <-- What is that anyway?
It seems to have a calender, to-do list, does the whole picture taking thing everyone sees now with their phones, etc.
Make sure to click on ((Full Specifications)) for the details.
Without Wolvy I'd be completely lost...even now I can't find mention of InfraRed compatibilty with palm OS.

| Any cellphone with IR AND a "in-built modem" ... which is most phones except really old or very basic cheap models ... have the ability to check mail, browse the web etc etc.
When I'm going to get a new phone etc ... I usually check out the various models available on companies web sites and make sure they have all the functions that I need. Then it's just a matter of seeing them up close and personal and choosing based on preference and price.

| Sorry missed you last post as I was replying.
ANY IR phone is compatible with Palm OS ...
For mails and connecting to the web etc the phone needs to have a built in modem. That should not be a problem if you are buying a new phone.
Must dash ... will look at Nokia on Mon.
