it is that much better. | heh heh... so true, though.
I was a long-time IE user and fan. However, I recently switched to Mozilla and it is so much better!

| As if faster browsing isn't enough to make it better,
Netscape has pop-up blocking built in,
it also has:
Profiles
Master password protection ie. you only enter your site's password once, and you can from there after have it either pop up automaticly or ask you for your master password, that would be the same password, user definable , and only one to remember instead of 5-50
Resistance to the majority of all IE exploits ( This is a biggie folks, there are ten to 100 exploits known to computer security folks, and malicious users at any given time)
Themeing/Skining - Self explanitory
Tabbed browsing - a big plus, especially to users of lower end computers, a new browser instance, but on the same application, and it doesnt spawn a 2nd instance of the program in RAM
there's more, but it's redundant, as i've made my point.
netscape has the features built in, that you need add-on programs to do for you in IE
nite people

| Get Mozilla Firefox. Works so fast, no problems like IE6 and Flash becoming incompatible when you install Office 11, etc. Tabbed browsing also rules, plus the pop-up blocking, as well as a separate Google search box (with the option for other engines) already built-in to the address bar, without the need for a separate Google toolbar. A download manager, a cleaner look, and did I mention it's a whole lot faster?
Anyway, this is a good rule to put in place. If you actually get this 30-second rule message, then you're doing something wrong. What could you POSSIBLY say within 30 seconds of your last post that's actually a worthy contribution? In other words, what you're posting is useless **** if it takes less than 30 seconds to type it up. Try THINKING before posting. Ask yourself "do I have a reason for posting this?" during every message. When you start doing this, you'll quickly realize your posts will become about four times less frequent, yet four times more helpful and useful. Think about it. |

| If you are using tab browsing efficiently, the 30 second rule can become an issue. I have run into it a few times since I usually will have about ten or more Cliesource tabs open. I reply to one post, view the next tab and reply to it. Sometimes it doesn't take a full 30 seconds for this process.

| i've never run into the 30 sec rule, perhaps if it was a 30 min rule...
If you constantly run into the 30 sec rule, i agree with abosco, you're doing it wrong. it should take more than 30 seconds to read up on the forum, and definatly more then 30 seconds to reply.

This is simalar to what i do. I often am reading multiplte threads and can sometimes run into the 30 seconds when i switch and reply. This is a good point but like i said i do read multiple threads w/ multiple windows open and can type fairly quickly. It is very annoying to me to have to retype. I am not proposing to take out the rule i just want it to redirect to the preview post page instead of the reply page with blank form.

I would like to request that it goes to the preveiw page instead, that way the message is at least preserved! | I've run into the 30 second rule, but when I hit the back button, my stuff's still there. I use Mozilla, though, so maybe THAT'S the difference?

Nope, it's the Cali rule, now inherited by LMC.
