Good Stuff!
Wave Edit Pro: error "Sampled Sound API not Available"
If you can get this one worked out, I would pay for MCA2 alone. It would save me $200 on a Tungsten E to run run W.E.P.
Microbe: functions fine, yes the temporary clicking is very apparent. On my simple test, the kick drum volume was about the same as the clicking (which sounds about like a 32nd note metronome). Can't wait till it is fulling functional.

| AcidSolitare and AcidFreecell both crash with an error. Doesn't crash the whole Clie, just kicks me out of those programs. I've got an NX70, and Snails sounds fantastic. |

| I'm not at a place where I can download right now but I'll ask my question anyway:
Does this allow your to use these programs that have not implemented you MCA1 into their code?

| oh yeah
and i've noticed, when you soft reset, you have to run the MCA2 program again before you can run any other sound program (aeroplayer)
and now i am not getting any clicking......
VERY GOOD
and strange...
maybe it has to do independently with the song you are playing?
and i'm running aeroplayer 2.11
and MMplayer doesn't seem to work for me..but that might be my fault

#20 | | Guest | YEP!!! If you increase the Bass Boost with pockettunes to like 3 db, u won't hear the clicking (at least when listening from the pda and not earphones). This rocks!! With the wireless card, you can setup a ShoutCAST Server on the computer (you need winamp, the shoutcast server software, and shoutcast plugin for winamp like OddCast -- i use this -- or SAMs streaming plugin thing), and then i can stream the music from the computer to the pda!!
DUUUUUDE!

| I had some clicking when I first tried MCA2 with Aeroplayer. But after a couple soft resets, it's gone! CliePet you are incredible. Thanks for all the work.

| actually, what i did to eliminate clicking...
first install MCA2
then install aeroplayer
then soft reset
run MCA2
then run aeroplayer
no more clicking! and it feels good to play VBR files now!

| This is simply amazing. After seeing all of the stuff that CliePet and others have allowed us to do, it is very apparent that our NX series PDAs were horribly crippled from the factory. Thanks

#24 | | Guest | Pockettunes crash My first choice was PocketTunes.
But along with the clicking I got some resets (Fatal exception) when I stooped the mp3 playing, and started another song. | |

| aeroplayer seems very stable for me, and i don't get any clicking at all!
time to convert my whole collection into ogg!
*UPDATE
background play ISNT a good idea. after a while of switching programs while the music is playing (which sort of lags occasionally) the clicking will return

| MCA 2 and Microbe on my NX60 Hey all -
I installed MCA 2 and the demo version of Microbe to give this a try on my rig. It worked fine - got the clicking and all that, but that's expected at this stage. While quitting out of Microbe I crashed and had to do a reset - fine. Wiped everything off my machine on the restart - like a hard reset. Thank goodness for Backup Buddy
So, no real problems, but obviously not completely working either. I'm really excited about the prospect of this and think it's completely amazing that it's happening. CliePet deserves some free beer "as in free beer" for this. Any estimate when the beta or finished version will be available? I'm in no hurry, just wondering. |

| Wow, this is really great- thanks so much CliePet! Now we don't have to wait for developers to implement the API, we just take matters into our own hands!
So far I have tried Pocket Tunes. At first I got the clicking, but I turned on Bass boost as someone suggested, and no clicks anymore. Sound quality is great!
Will try playing a Shoutcast stream, and then MMPlayer next...
Thanks, Steve |
