| Expansys Shipping Delayed!! Just checked the status of my TH55/E order, which was supposed to ship in 2 days. Now it says "shipping in 18 days." WTF is this!? I'm buying this model because I lost my old Clie, and it's bad enough that I have to wait to special order a European model instead of just going to the store, now I'm going to be almost a month without a replacement. At the very least I hope that in that time the OS6 devices are announced and something better comes along so I can cancel this order.
I know I'm not the only one who was expecting this shipment soon, are others seeing the same thing on their order status? I haven't gotten an e-mail from Expansys announcing the delay yet. |

#2 | | Guest | just emailed them asking about the status, right now, am assuming that is IF you order 'right' now, you will get it in 18 days, for those who had ordered it much earlier, will still get it by the 1st week of april

I thought about that too, as it does say on the main item page that
"If you order this product before 3pm CST today, US customers can expect shipment in 18 working days." However, the page for my order which used to say 2 days now says 18 also. I'd like to think it's just a mistake, but somehow I doubt it. And I can't imagine what would cause a 16-day delay for an item that has already been released. Are they importing it by rowboat? |

| Argh. It's like they are teasing us. I watch the days count down, and then SMACK... they push it back up to 18.
I emailed them about it also.
I think this has got to be the most frustrating thing about buying this model.
Out of curiosity, when did all of you order?
I ordered "17/03/2004 11:20:32 London UK Time" |

| I ordered mine fairly recently, when I lost my NX80 a week ago, 3/26/04 07:56 GMT, so I would be further down the line for shipping. Still, as this was a PDA emergency, I made my decision to order from them based on the fact that their estimated ship date and paying $30 for overnight delivery would get me a replacement in about 10 days (should have arrived this coming Saturday).
I'd love to think it's just a confusion on Expansys' website (they do make mistakes, when I ordered my TH they had the US model listed as having BT). Do let us know if they respond to your e-mails. |

| off the phone with expansy Well, I called them and a nice lady with a sweet English accent told me that she was very sorry and that I would have to wait another 18 days to receive the TH-55. I asked if there was any compensation offered for the inconvenience and she told me that I could cancel my order at anytime.
So-I guess it won't be until April 18ish that they are going to deliver. Evidently some error on the shipping of the products.
Holla if someone has any different information avaliable.

| If you go to the Expansys site, and look at their Clie page, you see both the US and UK models of the TH55. But next to both of them is the Bluetooth symbol, signifying that the unit has that included. The same symbol is next to the UX50 as well. Someone should contact them ask for the US version that includes Bluetooth, that is must be possible to order, because they are advertising it.......

| Just my two bits about expansys
They are quite a good reliable company and do ship out quite quick, so I wouldn't be too fast to cancel the order. I have ordered quite a bit of stuff from them in the past and the delay in stock coming in does work both ways (having been pleasantly surprised on occasion).
And no, I don't work for them
And what do you mean, the lady with a sweet english accent. We don't have accents, we speak normally! The Americans have accents *ducks and covers*

| This is quite strange. I received an e-mail a couple days ago saying the product was in stock (in UK). Therefore, one would imagine that a reputable company would honor the pre-orders first and ship the products.
I understood, from the website, that new orders would be shipped only after 18 days.
