| Sony Japan releases Clie Organizer Update/Fix Once again, you heard it here first.
Today, Sony Japan released updates for the Clie Organizer on the TH55 and PC. Here's some info:
==Clie Organizer for PC v1.0 Fix Program== http://www.nccl.sony.co.jp/download...4-01/index.html
This patch fixes the problem where HotSync fails to finish when you have more than 2000 items in your Address/Memo/Todo/Datebook.
==PEG-TH55 Clie Organizer Update Program v1.01== http://www.nccl.sony.co.jp/download...3-01/index.html
This update addresses the following:
CLIE ORGANIZER DATEBOOK:
Can now apply font settings in ToDo and can "Show complete items"
****FIXES LOCKUP PROBLEMS ON ALARMS****
Fixes problems with editing repeated events.
CLIE ORGANIZER TODO:
Fixes the error that occurs when you call dialogs out of the menu.
CLIE ORGANIZER MEMO:
Fixes the problem under the delete menu where some checkboxes are checked by itself.
CLIE ORGANIZER LAUNCHER:
Fixes issues with some applications failing to launch.

| Greetings, Eltaino.
Excellent!
Just one question - will these updates work OK for American Clie TH55 models? Or is this only for Japanese TH55's ?
Thanks again, Eltaino!
Best wishes,
Bawko

| Anyone want to try this on a US TH-55, while I run to NYC for a day?

| Hello, AC.
I have absolutely no idea if this will work on non-Japanese versions. I'm going to try it out tonight, and I will let you know.

| I think we might see the same occurrence as when you install the Japanese WiFi update to the US unit, you get weird symbols (in Network Pref). So maybe the menu in CO might get screwed up after installing this update, but guess it's worth the try. |

| I can understand being curious, but I would be careful installing this update. Make sure you get a good backup or two before you do. I would imagine the US version will be ready within a few days. |

I'm bit skeptical that the update will be coming soon because they still haven't released the WiFi patch for US version when the Japanese version came out 3-4 wks ago. I usually make 2 backups before doing something like this, one w/ BBVFS and another w/ MS backup. However, I'll probably wait for the US version because I have a strong feeling that this update might turn my menus into symbols. Good luck to those that try. |

| Another very good reason not to try it: If the patch modify the Flash Rom ... and crash your TH55, you will be in a deep sh.. |

| Waa.... TH55/E users are even further behind on the patch-ladder, and by several accounts the japanese patches don't work on TH55/Es at all!!!
Wouldn't worry about the Flash ROM - I will be very surprised if Sony release a FlashROM upgrade like Palm did.
Heck, Brayder haven't even got JackFlash or Sprat support for the TH55 yet so I don't even know for sure if the TH55 has a FlashROM! |

Karim, pls don't take this the wrong way. But the font style you are using (bold, italic) can get very distracting. I understand if you want to highlight a point or something but using this style throughout all your posts can really distract from the posts at hand. Again, I'm not trying to start anything here. Just giving you my opinion as an addict to cliesource reading through all the threads.
Apologies to everyone for being OT |

| I agree with bobes. Karim, I know you don't intend for it to happen, but your font style makes it seem like you're always yelling.
