#1 | | Guest | instable ? Hello.
I have read that TH55 is a bit unstable and can 'crash' about 1/2
time a day, is this true or only envy ?
Is CO fault this instability ?
thanks.
PS: Where can i found a list of th55 bug/problems ?
Thanks. | |

| You might be referring to the alarm bug which causes the TH55 to freeze on some units; only a soft reset will unlock it. I've had no such problems on mine, or any other crashing problems in the first few weeks of use. First I was letting DB5 handle the alarms, then I disabled it to let CO handle the alarms because I like the Sony alarm sounds. No problems so far.

| I have had my device for about a month... I can only think of one time it has crashed (buggy legacy program). I use DateBK5 and not CO.

| I did suffer from the alarm freeze, but the fix found in this group has fixed that for me.
Other than that, this has been the most stable PDA I've owned in a very long time.

| Yesterday, my TH55 crashed in Avantgo, when I did a Modem Sync via wifi. Every time I soft reset, it said that there was an error so I have to reset, so I couldn't get out of the loop. So now I don't have Avantgo installed. :/

I have no problem synching w/ AvantGo on my TH55 either via the cable or wifi. Make sure you installed the AvantGo version for Palm OS5 .x

| Mine does crash once in a while when I am using Memopad and ToDo list especially when writing graffiti, but I think it's because I am using bunch of hack apps and G1. It's something I can live with. |

Well, without knowing how I use my PDA, I'd say your statement is equally non-objective.
I use my PDA instead of a computer for about 75% of my workday.
If it's going to fall apart or have a nervous breakdown, I'm going to know about it pretty quick.
Hell, I went through three T3s in the first six weeks....
I don't presume to call myself a "power user" however. Those guys can't keep up with me.

| Now that the CO Datebook alarm freeze is behind us, I haven't had any stability problems. I try to avoid having hacks on my system unless they really add something I need, so I only have Fonts4OS5, OKey, and McPhling installed now. But I can't think of any crashed I've had not related to the CO Datebook alarm issue. |

| PicselViewer crashes on me now whenever I'm exitting. Not sure why; I tried disabling TheGoGo and Fonts4OS5, but it still crashed.
