| Changing App Icons I want to change some of the ugly icons of applications that I have installed, but can't seem to find any programs to do it.
Read about RIconChanger, but seems that PalmGear has taken it down. So what other programs can I use?
I heard it is possible to use RsrcEdit to change the icons. If it is possible at all, could someone post instructions on how to do it?
BTW, how does one create icons for use on OS5 using a Windows PC?
TIA~!

| Use Appicon, http://member.nifty.ne.jp/mmaeda/e/palmos.html but don't try to edit/draw an icon with OS5, just change the icon from an icon library installed that you install.
There's a link somewhere for icon libraries, do a search for them.

| Thanks. I'll try that out.
Seriously though, is that the only app to change icons? I thought us Clie-fans are fanatical about making our Clies The Perfect Clie

| I just changed two icons to see if it worked on my TH . . . it does. Just remember, you cannot, repeat, CANNOT edit icons in OS5 with this program . . . you may want to look through the skins and backgrounds for more info & icon sets . . . there are some really great ones out there!

| If you use ZLauncher there's a lot of iconsets available.
I also have a Windows program for creating custom ZLauncher iconsets. It's not free ($5), but the demo will let you change a couple program icons and any number of ZL system icons.
ZLauncher iconsets don't make any change to the underlying program, so if you update a program you don't have to redo the icon.

| Thanks everyone.
AppIcons does work OK now. But it does create an overlay for the app with the new icon. Would be nice if there's an app that will modify the icon resource directly.
I don't use ZLauncher at the moment. Still using the standard launcher. Don't quite like the complexity that comes with using ZL. Besides, changing a launcher just to 'fix' an icon is a bit of an overkill
