| Ptah, Sonystyle Germany offers the TH55 for 399,01€. Dunno about shipping and handling, but it shouldn't be more than 7 to 8€. So, I don't think they are so terribly expensive compared to the offer you digged out, maybe Sony is even cheaper.

| Well, lowest price for the TH in Germany is around 350€ from what I have checked so far. The TJ37 is around 290€. So this will be a no-brainer for me ;-) |

| germany - switzerland guys.. I know, I just called in yesterday and they told me it would come out in the stores during the next week in germany, but in switzerland not until 3-4 weeks from now!!!
how the heck does that work?? why would it take that much longer?!?!
looks like it costs about 565.-SFr (1.3 SFr = 1 USD) --> it's about 50.- SFr more expensive then the us version withouth BT! |

| Might be due to SONY internal logistics. They are probably producing dedicated lots for each local market. Don't know whether Swiss market needs them to include maybe additional manuals (french, german, italian) or any specific warranty information. Could also be that as Switzerland is still not in European Union that they cannot refer to EU standards in terms of warranty etc. And finally they might serve markets according to internal priorities and sales plans. Think Sony sells at least three times more devices in Germany, the UK or France then in Switzerland. But hey, those are my assumptions only, right. |
