Unhappy The Hold switch and Appointment alarms

I am wondering if anyone else has this problem with their NX70. I tend to keep the hold switch set so that I do not accidentally turn on the voice recorder by hitting the capture button (I changed the default setting for the capture button to voice recorder).

When an alarm for an appointment starts playing, the power on button flashes green. You cannot turn on the NX70 until the hold switch is turned off. What happens is that turning off the hold still does not allow the power button to either stop the alarm or even power on the NX70. I have to soft reset every time. This is a little annoying because the alarm just keeps playing until I hit the reset.

Has anyone else noticed this. Does anyone feel like taking the time to see if they can recreate it? I am using the standard Date book that came with the Clie.

Thanks for your time,
Dave

I just recreated it. It wouldn't let me do anything while the alarm was going off, but when the alarm ended the screen came on and I was able to press ok and clear the alarm. Thankfully I have a short alarm set right now, but I could see how this can be a serious problem.

By the way: I am using Datebk5

Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to recreate it. I guess I will have to select another alarm that is shorter or avoid using the Hold switch during the day.

Thanks,
Dave
