i have a client i've been doing some consulting with who a few months ago bought a TG-50 based on my recommendation of a Clié - and he hates graphiti. he has no desire to listen to music on his PDA, and since it syncs just fine, we never bothered with the Missing Sync. (he knows it exists, i have told him about it, and about Sony ignoring the mac population)
last week, he bought his wife a TJ-27, and i can't for the life of me get it to sync with her computer. the TG-50, and my T-665 sync just fine with her computer, so all i can assume is that either sony, broke mac compatibility (like they did with the early cliés) or that particular unit doesn't know how to sync (it's a dud)
i did some checking and see that the Missing Sync
does support the TJ-27, however, like here husband, the TJ's owner has no desire to do anything with pictures (she wants to install games, and maybe grow into more advanced stuff like the built in date book

)
my solution for the time being is to install games onto an MS though the TG-50. it's a cludge, but it works.
so the question is: Did Sony break the TJ series syncing like they did with the early Cliés, in which case my client will need to purchase the missing sync? or did he just purchase his wife a dud?
enquiring minds want to know.
