Note length

Hi, guys. Please help.

I currently use a Pocket PC, but would like to get a TH-55. One problem I'm aware of is whether long notes (>4K) attached to my Outlook appointments and address entries will be preserved when I sync with Intellisync Lite. Could anyone shed a light on this issue?

I'd hate to lose my precious notes since I use Outlook to keep a personal journal. Thanks.

My understanding, and experience from my SJ33, is that any memo fields over 4k will be truncated on your PDA. And heaven forbid if you modify them on your PDA and sync back to Outlook!

Because of this problem I use Chapura's KeySuite ( www.chapura.com ), where the apps do not have the 4k limit that the built-in apps do. However, Chapura's apps DO use their own database so you use up space there - just empty out the built-tin app's databases or, in your case, never sync up with the built-in apps.

Yup, how suite it is ( OK, bad pun ).

Yay, my 50th post, chasing down 100!

Actually, the CO Memo pad has removed the 4K limit, so I doubt you would get truncation if you used CO. However, I don't sync with Outlook, so I don't know for sure.
