#1 | | Guest | Battery Drain in Camera mode, (no, it's not the age old flash problem) Hi, I saw a patch posted here and decided to try it, and it pretty much didn't do anything!. I think the problem is not that the battery gets killed by the flash, but the fact that it drains itself when it's in Camera mode. I have always thought it was the flash, but i just noticed that even without doing anything, i SEE the battery going down first by 30%, then 1-2% at a time until the flash shuts off without taking a single picture. I have tried searching for a solution here, but there are so many posts, that it's simply impossible to find anyhting useful. Can some one please kindlyprovide me with a link to a thread that adress and solve this problem? or perhaps make a permenant thread where users can always find it in stationary area. Thanks =) | |

| The autofocus-function needs a lot of power, so it comes to the same phenomenon like working with flshlight.

| the camera update I installed the camera update and it's like a miracle. I used to be able to take at most 10 hi res pictures before the battery died. Now after 10 images the battery is at 86% what an improvement.
The cam update is linked below. i installed the camera library and camera s update. http://www.clie-link.com/uk/updates...mpatibility.asp
good luck. BTW, even tho those updates are intended for european clies, they work on the US ones as well.

| i now using PEG-BC10,athrought the update is better but for digicam still not enough.i also got the sony recharge battery and the charger got reflesh function to make the battery life better.one more thing AA battery still better for camera to last longer.if sony got better battery for NZ-90 mostly expensive to use it.i still prefer AA battery which is cheaper a lot and more energy. |

| CamLib from UK site worked for me as well. It's not as good as what others have reported from new or aftermarket batteries but at least it's usable. i still carry the extra battery though. |
