Question UK/US differences

Could someone please run down a list of the differences between the UK & US versions of the TH55?

So far the most obvious one is lack of bluetooth in the US version, but apparently the UK version lacks DocsToGo as well. Are there other differences?

Thanks-
marcos

I just received my UK Th55 and I think there really aren't any other major differences. You do get Connection Manager which is pretty useless in the US, and also there is a built in SMS program which works pretty well, but I prefer FunSMS.

Physically they are identical except that you get that nice bright blue "bluetooth" lit up when you are connected. I never thought a stupid little lit up "bluetooth" could make me feel so good but it really does.

If you are considering adding the benefits of BT, I highly recommend getting this unit.

+ lack of Docs2Go for those that need it and no warranty.

You are obviously as excited as I am to get it from expansys (well actually more because you paid extra shipping!)
And actually, I paid 100 dollars more because I didn't keep the one Dell sent.
But I'm curious how much, those that have it already, who live here in the US, paid...

Anxiously waiting until April 2nd which is when mine gets here...I can't wait to see the beautiful glowing blue light when I connect to my phone and surf the net ! I paid about $421.45 and regular ground shipping...it's hard waiting though. Oh, I had to pay extra because I live in Illinois and I had to pay the taxes (expansys has their US office in IL ). Don't know the exact number, but I ended up paying around $460 shipping and tax included.

lack of warranty could potentially be a problem.

Based on several posts in this forum and others I wonder how good Sony's warranty is anyways...

Besides, we can always register in Europe and ship it there if need really arises...

I paid $479 from www.clove.co.uk plus shipping (I used my company's account number so I don't have the shipping figures yet), so overall it should be about a $100 premium. I've used it at lunch, the doctor's office waiting room, and after an off-site work meeting and I've only had it 24 hours! The $100 premium for Bluetooth was well worth it.

Question

Ok, our government (here in the U.S.)or better say FCC is concered for us ( its citizens) not to get some sorth of weird cancer or radical disease using the BT in TH 55. That is why they banned it here and instead they fill us with all other sorth of legal carcinogens and toxic materials we use and eat on a daily bases. Ok, enough Ardy. My question is BT vs WiFi, what is really the difference? To me they both sound the same, and BT is actually slower! So what is the big deal that the U.S. version is lacking BT?

Hrm, on expansys's site, I only see the uk version of the TH55 for $514.95, I do see the us version for $424.95. Are you sure you got the TH55 UK version? And if so, am I looking at the wrong place? :P

I really want bluetooth but I'm not sure a extra $150 or so is worth it. Newegg has the us versions for $366 :P
