#5 | | Guest | Renaming I tried renaming...as you sugguested. To do this I simple right clicked and added .exe to the existing file name.
Yet it is still unchanged and I can not open it.
Am I doing it wrong? | |

| Tried it! God this is so frustrating....renaming it to .exe sounds so easy!!!! (And I've this before for other file types) but this particular file (@#$%!) once renamed is "CFUtility_1.0.8.exe.ex_" What is THAT?
...jealous that this is working for everyone else!
Please any assistance would be appreciated. Maybe someone could e-mail it me...hint! Hint! |

| Oh My God..! I transfered the stupid file to the MS, renamed it with .exe and then sent it back to PC and it worked. I installed it and now it work.
That was a whole lotta work! But of course worth it in the end! |

| it's probably because you have windows explorer set (by default) to hide extensions to known file types, so when you added the .exe and .zip, you were just adding to the file name, not changing the extension.
