| Kevin, check your email.
All, I'm out of the screwdrivers at the moment. However, I'm ordering some more and will post it here when I get them.

| For those of you considering buying Sony OEM batteries for your TH-55's, I have results from two new Batteries in two different TH-55's, using BatteryTime, with the backlight on full. (Drum roll please..)
My TH is 4:34:42
My wife's 4:38:36
That's more than an hour longer than the supposed 1400 mAh battery I bought on eBay from "Eurus-Wings" Last May.
Now I have one of those moral dilemmas. Should I swap batteries with my wife's to get that extra 4 minutes of battery life? .....(Alright already, I'm joking!) |

| 4+ hours AT FULL BURN
The TH55's long run-time is because it's very efficient when idle, but if you're running it at full-pelt constantly, it can't make any of the large energy savings. Anything over 4 hours is pretty good for a TH44 on full burn; That'd net you the ~24hour MP3 playback using AudioPlayer
The difference between idle power draw and max-load power draw is smaller in other Palms - They usually get their long run time by putting in larger, heavier batteries, but also put a lot more stress on these batteries.
My TH55's battery was (according to DanT) practically dead - 2:47 at full draw compared to >4:00 for a fresh battery - but I didn't even notice until he told me: The TH55 draws so little power under 'normal use' that even a half-dead battery can let it run for a good week without re-charging |

Just try it yourself, then you'd know what we're talking about.

Btw, I got usually something under 10-45 minutes before it drops under 100% Two years ago I got 3 hours when playing music using audioplayer or 1,5 hours of normal use before it did drop under 100% I have had same battery which did come installed on my th55. But we will see will I ever get new battery for my th55 if there will come iPhone 10

| If anyone needs the 3-bladed screwdriver, I just restock them. They are cheaper now, $6.00 including shipping.

| Let's make Dan T the official supplier of tri tipped screwdrivers. I'd be willing to pay $10 for a screwdriver right now(I have to make a deal with my friend's paypal since I have no credit cards or checking account).
Graphing experiment from my memo page:
Time graph vs
-------------------------------- v
4.00 o
3.98 x ----------------------------- l
3.96 ------------------------------- -t
3.94 ------- x -------------------- s
3.92 --------- x---------------------
3.90 ------------ x----------------
3.88
3.86
3.84 -------------------- x
3.82
3.80
3.78 ------------------------- x
3.76
3.74
3.72
3.70
5 15 25 35 45 55
---------------------------------------------
Don't you just hate home made graphing solutions?? Cut and past can easily destroy homemade graphs made on the memo pad.

| BatteryTime Results on my Latest Acquisition. . . Well, I received my latest TH55/E1 and Euro CC5 combo from a seller in Scotland. The ebay listing indicated that it was very good condition and hardly used, so after a good charge I ran BatteryTime to check battery status:
T:04:29:17 B10%, 375V at full brightness of course.
Needless to say that the handheld is practically new without any indications of usage. Even the flip cover does not have rub marks from the two spots at the bottom like normal! Always love it when they are in the condition that was advertised, or even better.

| I just won this TH55/E1 & CC5/E combo, Item number: 150086524037, from York, North Yorkshire, UK, last Monday. They look good. We'll see how's the battery performance later.

| BatteryTime results from LG Chem battery from eBay seller vincent_vango at 100% brightness, new battery, immediately after first charge:
4:35:59
Which rates well among the other times in this thread that state that they were done using 100% brightness:
5:13:13, Sony, DanT, tested 7/06, new battery
4:55:28, Sony, DanT, tested 7/06, new battery
4:54:15, Sony, winexprt, tested 8/04, 3 days old battery
4:38:36, Sony, Aces, tested 1/07, new battery
--> 4:35:59, LG Chem, jj2me, tested 2/07, new battery
4:34:42, Sony, Aces, tested 1/07, new battery
[Several 4:30s new Sonys tested in 2004]
4:29:17, Sony, salesrep, tested 2/07, in a "hardly used" TH55 of unknown mfg. date.
See also this thread, which includes great pics on battery replacement and another top result for a new Sony:
04:28:58, Sony, marcinm, tested 1/07? or 1/06?, new battery.
As stated in that thread, the LG Chem works out to be about 1/2 price compared to the Sony, and included a tri-blade screwdriver--but I couldn't find where the screwdriver was promised in the eBay listing.
