Actually I had my MS Prepared with me already, but that particular shop was so small & the unit was placed in a booth right in front of the cashier's counter. Not to mention the annoying salesman keep trying to promote the unit to me.
I was at one of those "Sony Official Dealers" so I think I'll give it another go at another shop. |
I would think that Circuit City and Best Buy would be a good resource for Bluetooth heists. Most of the clerks know nothing about the units themselves and are always more intrigued by my UX anyway to pay attention to what's going on.
Of course, I would never do anything like this myself...but I have heard of it happening.

| well, I had to send my T1 back to Sony due to stupid hardware problem, so I was at their showroom & couldn't resist playing with the TH55. I'll be heading back to pickup my T1 after it's been repaired. Perhaps a second chance?
Though I must say myself, I've never done this personally neither.

Well, good luck!
If anyone asks, just say that you're testing the Memory Stick speed, since you heard that the Memory Stick speed in the TH55 is 10 times faster than other Clies.
Worked for me a long time ago when I was ripping Clie RMC files from a new Clie. |

| various pessimistic comments including:
> Yes, you can put them on a UX, but it just won't run.
> D*** IT! I wanted to use the orginizer software on my UX50
> i bet somone is ognna be able to hack it
> Just played around with the TH55 display unit today, it seems that the entire Organizer thing runs with a different architecture on the CLIE. Would be quite hard to accomplish this task. But would love to see it happen!
anything is possible in software: http://aibohack.com/clie/clie_org_ux50.jpg
[UX 50 screen shot - 480x320]
The app is not wide-screen aware. so it runs as 320x320. You must scroll to the different categories (notice scroll bar on the tabs). The Silk area is not resizable.
No 'hacks' required. Requires over 1MB of (obvious and not-so-obvious) files copied from TH55 and one special step.
A very gray area of piracy.

That was the point of the screen-shot.
The UX50 screen shot programs are rather lame (don't capture the virtual silk area), so the green part was added by me to show the extent of the screen.
When in doubt trust a blurry photo: http://aibohack.com/clie/clie_org_ux50_photo.jpg |
