| You need to download the Sony Generic GSM Phone driver. Try the sony site. This sould let you: dial using the clie and send send sms (but not check) from the clie. This driver includes settings for Sonyerricson phones, don't select them |

| Thanks, the sony generic driver works a treat, and sms function is useful with decuma input. Don't think my thumbs were made for texting! |

| I've tried both Sony Generic GSM Phone driver and palmOne Nokia 6310i drivers, but still meet some problems.
My NX73 can see my Nokia 6310i and build connections, but when I press "test" (in Pref => Phone,) NX73 will connect to 6310i succesfully. Suddenly, 6310i drops this connection, and then NX73 is down (I have to press reset.)
The same problem also happens when I use SMS or Contacts 5 to connect my 6310i.
Any comments? |

I've got a NX70V.
Thanks. |

| I installed the prcs from the link you gave me. I don't get any phone menu on the prefs, and when I try and run the PhoneLink prog, all I get is an error: PhoneLink will only run on a Palm branded handheld. Damn phone driver. Why doesn't it work with the sony generic driver i don't understand. As soon as I sync the sony generic driver files it says it will reset (probably to install) but nothing happens. Help anyone? |

| I advise U to delete the related phonelink updater files (SonyGenericGSMDrv_UK.prc and SonyPhoneSelectionDB.pdb) as they r only useful for Palm based SMS applications for Palm Tungsten and T devices. U need to hotsync the specific file for your phone model only from the downloaded link.
But, I do not require any phone model installation for Bluetooth connection for my SONY Ericsson Z600 and NX80V, and it works OK for SMS and Internet GPRS connections. My advise is if U r using the BT card, pls update the driver file, and in my case for PEGA-MSB1.
