searched through a TON of great information on this site on the subject of the NZ90's compact flash slot. However, I didn't see anything on someone using drivers from the NX80v? Is it possible?

That is where the "hacked" drivers are from. Originally a guy named ayasin wrote a driver for the cf. Then he left the company he was a partner in and started a company called PDAscent. There is a driver out for the nz90, 60 and 70 but he hasn't written any for the 80 or 73. Probably won't either, no time.
