Well, this is my first thread. who would have thought so...
First of all, let me say 'great forum', because it helped me gain some more understanding of my new UX50. I do not regret buying it.
I have a problem though.
I own a Tungsten T3 (which i will sell by the way, so if anyone is interested, just message me

). I had installed the palm desktop for the T3. I uninstalled it (as it was the most logical option for me to do because it still has all those T3 specific PIM stuff and other T3 thingies in it). After that, i tried to install the Palm desktop for the UX50 from the CD (i have the US ux50). Now, after installing it, it opened up correctly (even though unable to perform a hotsync), but it showed some of the old T3 specific PIM sections, without correct icon (i guess file was missing after uninstall). this led me to believe that there had to be some information in the registry that had not been deleted.
I uninstalled the Sony Palm desktop again, and cleaned my registry completely of every palm entry it had (those concerning the T3). Reinstall of the UX50 desktop. Now it wouldn't even start at all, giving me some error (sorry didn't write it down, was too #^%#^$#).
Installed T3 palm desktop again and checked and actually could even hotsync with my UX50 (oh wonder) but because all ux50 PIM things and apps were missing, i decided to go for SONY's version of the desktop.
This time I installed it WITHOUT uninstalling the T3 desktop. It loaded up fine. but now it had like all icons and sections in it. T3 AND ux50. Furthermore, the ux50 did not synchronize the 'CLIE memo'. it didn't sync anything except my adressbook.
(back to being @%#@%#)
I have tried all different combinations of hybrid installs or standalones, it just WON'T $%^&* work.
So, is there a way to install the sony Palm Desktop after having owned a T3? it seems kinda like a joke to me. I mean... it should not be THAT difficult? i usually do not have problems with stuff like that, but here i am going frenzy.
thank you for your help and keep up the good work....
