SmbMate Bought Out ... Very Sad.

I received the following email from the dev of SmbMate. It makes me very sad...

Here is the last message on behalf of SmbMate. Fortunately or unfortunately
SmbMate
project as it is in current state is closed. Here is official message from
the buyer :

SmbMate has been acquired by a U.S. based company. We are temporarily
removing it from
distribution while we continue to work on it and improve it. Expect an
announcement regarding
the status of the product in February

According to our agreement I have no rights to distribute SmbMate anymore.
That's why there is
no any SmbMate's downloads from www.smbmate.com

I still continue working on the coming product and believe that my ideas
will be implemented,
because there are many things to do with SMB networks. Hope also that
working in team of
professional helps us to create really good software, easy to use and set
up,
not for advanced IT people like you but for all users.

Maybe we'll meet again on other project - who knows?

If you don't want to get any news about SMB related products - please
unsubscribe from this
maillist now. There will be one more message - announcement for new product
at February. Also that
message will provide you with a choice to stay in this maillist or
unsubscribe from this one. Nobody's
email will be passed to Buyer without your assent.

I hope that it continues to be a good program ... and isn't extremely expensive ... At least we have a good version of it still. Just wanted to let everyone know that wasn't already on the email notice list.
