1src Forums - My NX80 is dead. and Best Buy cannot replace.

JeffreyJM Registered User Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: Texas Posts: 35	My NX80 is dead. and Best Buy cannot replace. This morning, the screen on my NX80 started flickering oddly. A few hours later, it would no longer power on or charge. It is completely dead. I took it to Best Buy to get it replaced (since I shelled out the extra cash when I purchased it to ensure that I could replace it should this situation occur). But Best Buy cannot replace it. They no longer carry the NX80. The no longer carry any of the current line of Clies. Their stock is wiped out in anticipation, they say, of an all new line due out in a couple of weeks. There's still a Best Buy about an hour away from where I live that has a few in stock. I could potentially take it up there and replace it. But what is this new line coming out to replace the NX80? The NX80 has been the most perfect PDA I've ever owned. Big, bright screen, keyboard, 1.3 MP digital camera, CF slot. The only feature I feel that it is missing is a flash for the camera. It's perfect. And now defunct. So if I wait a couple of weeks, what could I expect Best Buy to offer in replacement? The TJ series? Yeah right. Small, square screen, weak camera, no keyboard. Please tell me there's a new iteration that puts the NX80 to shame. Otherwise, what's the point of downgrading to a lesser PDA? Jeff

I haven't been to my BB in a while but now after reading what you just posted I'm taking extra care with my unit. I to agree that the nX80 is the best pda out. Good luck.
