Anyone with experience with Mac and TJ series please help before I go nuts! Last night I purchased a new TJ35 from CompUSA. When I got it home and tried to sync- nothing happened.I thought that maybe there was a problem with the USB hub so I moved it to directly into my tower... still nothing. Tried rebooting- nothing. Moving to another USB- nothing. Tried palm desktop 4.1 instead of iSync- nothing. I even checked my system profile to see if it would show up there under USB devices. Still nothing.
So, I return it to Comp, and exchange for a new one. Get it home and try to sync again... Nothing!
TJ25 didn't sync on my Jaguar 10.2 or now on Panther 10.3. I can't hot sync like you. I needed to install some stuff for my nephew and what I do is I use Missing Sync - I can mount the memory stick on the Desktop and move files that way. I don't think it's an issue with Panther because it didn't work on Jaguar either. Oh, there is an issue with Panther though - it doesn't work with ANY Palms right now on whatever Palm Desktop version you have. only works with Missing Sync. Anyhow, I think it's an issue with TJ not recognizing Palm Desktop for Mac. Tj works fine with Palm Desktop for Windows. I tried.

No problem. I just hope Sony will finally support Mac as they should so we don't have to use third-party apps for that. Mac community is growing and is a significant market share of techie people - those who would go for eye candy devices such as the Clies.
So far the T3 is a good model but I treat it as a transitional device because I now want Wi Fi and OS 6 should be around the corner so I will come back to Sony in an intsant if they deliver.

I'm happily using Palm Desktop 4.1 under Panther (10.3.2) to sync my T615C and have been for two years (using Jaguar before Panther) with no problems at all. The issues people are having with PD 4.1 and Panther are primarily related to doing an archive and install of Panther versus a clean install. Similar issues exist for people who upgradet to Jaguar 10.2.8 from earlier versions. I installed PD 4 way back under 10.2.3 and I've never had any problems with it whatsoever. Panther was pre-loaded on my iBookG4. Missing Sync is needed only for mp3-enabled Clies. I've never used it.
