Is this a good deal on a memory card or should I go for a lesser memory card?

http://www.costco.com/frameset.asp?...d=10024584&log=

Do you guys think this is a good deal? Do you find that it is more wise to go with 128 storage or should I go with this guy? I was under the assumption that most 256 is really really expensive. Please give me your suggestions

What device is this for? You're posting in Cliesource... so I assume you have a Clie. In that case, you need a Memory Stick. SD cards won't work. If you have a Palmone, Treo, or PPC device, then go for it, it's a great deal.

I bought my SanDisk CF 512MB at CompuUSA $99.00 after $20 rebate. I have seen 256MB SanDesk CF on sale for $49.00 after rebate both at BestBuy and Circuit City. So the deal you shown is a good deal but not best deal.

Its probably one of the best deals you will find without a rebate stuck onto it. But most places have rebates pop up every now and then and costco doesn't.

Cool thing is, if that better deal comes along, just make sure you hold onto the plastic casing it comes in from costco and your reciept and costco will take anything back

Its a better deal anyway. The regular CF cards are slow. If his device works with SD then for $15 you get a faster smaller memory card. If he has an NX then there is still a great deal at costco. You can get a 256mb ULTRA II  CF card which is much faster than the regular CF for $64.99 as well.

I see, so there are ones that plug directly into your PDA and ones that plug into a reader. So for the ones that I plug directly into a reader I should wait for some decent rebate promotions at like a best buy?

Tell us what PDA you have so we can tell you what type of memory it uses. There's no use saving $20 buying a CF card rather than a SD card if your PDA can't use CF.

Ok. You don't even need to be looking at SD cards then. Your unit can't use them. The NX70V uses Sony Memory Stick. With third party drivers, you can use compact flash, but I would get a Memory Stick before you get a CF card. In my opinion, 128meg is the sweet spot right now.

I agree with Ocell. Since you are a costco member go to a store (its not available online) and they should have a 128mb MS for $46.99.

I am not a member but my girlfriends mom is and she said she can pick one up for me. What do they usually run in other stores, I can't remember, like 80 isn't?

I bought my 128MB SanDisk MS at Circuit City $29.99 after $10 rebate. So the Best Buy, Circuit City and CompUSA rebate deal if you can wait or if you can find is always better than Cosco or Sam's price.
