| TealLaunch vs. ZLQuickLaunch I have both TealLaunch and ZLauncher. Both TealLaunch and ZLQuickLaunch execute pop-up application list's.
I know that ZLauncher is aware that QuickLaunch is an added drain on power consumption.
Has anyone been able to get a "feel" for the difference in power consumption between the two apps? Does ZLQuickLaunch consume more power than TealLaunch?

| I haven't noticed any degradation in power consumption due to QL, either in my old T665C or my new T3. |

| That is good to hear. It's easy to get power parranoid with a palm. It seemed like my batteries were draining a bit quicker than I would like, but I am running not only the two utilities mentioned above, but also MI.D (I'm having to edit the spelling of that one or it looks like this MI ) which is also said to be a battery drainer.
By the way Bob. Good to see you here. I followed some of your post's over at cliesource. You also might remember sending me a copy of Laridian's preliminary "scripture" with kjv modules. I went ahead and bought MyBible with NKJV, NASB, and KJV.

| The issue with ZLQuickLaunch wasn't power consumption, but a hit on performance. Using ZLQuickLaunch would noticably slow down some operations when it was set to be active. With the T3 and a 400MHz processor, this is a non-issue. |

| Heh. I should start rationalising my applications!
I use TealLaunch for button launch combinations.
ZLauncher for the launcher interface.
McPhling for the popup list.
Perhaps I am too lazy or too contented with my current setup to consolidate it into one program!

| As an update to my procrastination, I spent a couple of hours working out how ZLauncher quicklaunch and TealLaunch works. In the end, my preference lies with TealLaunch for a couple of reasons:
1) TealLaunch can launch DAs whilst ZL QLaunch does not list any DAs.
2) TealLaunch has button combo presses, silkscreen strokes etc.
If ZL had all these functions built into the QuickLaunch, then it would make this 3rd party app even better (for $12!!!)

Glad you made it over as well. I really like MyBibe. It's fast at everything, especially searching. I use other apps for study materials and language study, but I always go back to MyBible. No one does the basics better.
BTW, That's an interesting mix of translations, encompassing both manuscript traditions. |

There are aspects of each of these translations that I appreciate. I even really like to do OT comparisons with the Septuagint, especially when looking at NT quotes of the OT and its context. I'm not much of an "only" guy but I'm also not much of a careless bystander either. I love and cherish the Word of God.

| Does anyone else use the built in "favorites" on the T3? Maybe I should have read the manual but I discovered it by accident. It only gives you the last 5 apps you've used but for me, that's fine.

| I use it all the time. The only catch is that it won't work for apps on the card. It also doesn't display apps assigned to the hard buttons, but that's not a big deal. |
