The white magicgate memory sticks are for storing ATRAC music files (atrac is Sony's own Codec, originally developed for MiniDisc, its sound quality (according to Sony) is slightly better than MP3 and copyguards remain...most can't hear the difference and use standard MS's and MP3 files. MG ms's can hold standard data, but why pay the added cost? As for capacity, the T-665 is limited to 128 MB memory sticks, no 512M or 1G MSPro's. An alternate MS not mentioned is the 256M stick, which is actually two 128 MS's in on MS case equipped with a switch to select the side you wish to access. TAKE CARE WITH THE HEADPHONE JACK...(as previously posted @ cliesource) others that have used their T-665 extensively for music playback have noticed that after a while, the internal speaker shuts down, either completely or intermittantly. This is usually due to worn/broken contacts in the headphone jack. Don't remove the headphones by the cord, don't let anything touch the connecton when in use, and don't drop the unit on its left side while headphones are inserted, hope this helps.
