First, I have tried to download the japanese 1.1 Image converter upgrade but cant get the download to pass 16mb without failing, can someone out there get it to me? driving me nuts!

I am using DVDx to rip DVDs to mpg and was then going to use Kinoma to encode for clie.
Can anyone suggest the best settings for DVDx and Kinoma to say rip an episode of the simpsons to about 40mb and keep good quality for widescreen playback on my NX73?
