NX - Removing CF back cover?

I'm sure i'm not the only one who has thought of this (I couldn't find any other posts in a search), but has anyone ever thought of removing the back cover to the NX70, and replacing it with the back cover from the NR70v? I was thinking maybe pull off the NX cover, rip out the CF slot, then slap on the sleek, thin NR cover. Is this even possible? What do you all think?

I guess the back cover wouldn't feel as textured as the front, but that would make the NX so much thinner, and seeing as how some people will never use the CF slot, why not just get rid of it altogether?

Looking down into it from the exterior, it does not look like a simple operation to remove the plug. I'm betting there some ultrafine soldering going on in that thar hole.

if you want to rip apart a 600 dollar device, go ahead, let the rest of us know how it went.. oh.. and how you explained the damage to the salesperson when you returned it for a new one.
