| I can't surf any web site nor connect to verichat. It keeps on stating that invalid network settings.
I have gone through the manual and make sure all the settings follows as what it stated. Yet it still can't work. |

| Hmm....my office does have a firewall. But I don't see where's the problem.
My collegue is using a Tungsten C and he can surf and chat through verichat.
The signal is very strong as the access point is just two desks away from me! |

| in your network preference, pull down the menu and you go to edit mode. There you see IP address, WEP key, and adhoc mode. Try to tick the adhoc mode and see whether it is working. If not, then you might need to configure the IP address. You might want to ask your Sys Adm the IP address and help.

| The simpliest 1st test would be to verify your networks settings by trying to ping your gateway from the ux and also try to ping the ux from any computer on the same lan ; |

| I have set it to DHCP, which allows it to automatically get a IP from the router.
I'm able to get an IP if ad-hoc is disabled.
Btw, what is ad-hoc any way? What is it use for? |
