| Remap Capture Button? Just got an NX73V and love it so far, though I'm still trying to port my brain over to the PalmOS from PocketPC.
Can anyone tell me if/how you can remap the camera 'capture' button? Or at least turn that button off?
I've searched through the documentation and the Clie itself and can't find it. Maybe I need some 3rd party app? Does one exist?
TIA |

| I think that you can only remap to the camera, movie rec, or voice rec. At least that's how it works with the NX70. When in one of those apps, select Options. One of the selections will be to remap the capture button.

| McPhling and ZLauncher allow you to map it to their 'favorites' popup launcher...
But I use my Voice rec button for that instead. |

| As far as I know it can't be remaped, but it can be blocked with a program, si it will not turn on your clié. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the program, but you can make a search in palmgear.

| If you search for an app called FlexButton, it might allow you to remap that button. It works on the NX60, but I'm not sure if it has been updated to support the NX73 yet.

| McPhiling lets you remap any button. You just have to press it and it recognizes the press.

| Thanks Everyone!
I'll check out FlexButton and McPhling. I already use LauncherX.
Dropzone,
What do you mean by "locking"? Using the hold button? That's a pretty good idea, too. Forgot about that button.
Ideally, I'd really like to be able to ensure the camera doesn't kick in accidentally by using that button for something else (same for the voice record button) and manually tap on an icon to invoke the camera or recorder when I want them.
A version of the NX73V without the camera would have been best, but... |

| Click on activation, Where it says 'Apps:" pull down and select custom,
McPhling will prompt you to press the key or button you want, so
press the voice rec button.
you can also check the box for 'hold' and do double duty on the button
if you'd like.
Now your voice rec button will pull up McPhling menu. |
